The stage is open and YOU are invited!

Showcase your talent at the Community Center Jam! If you sing, play an instrument, recite poetry, or even dance, then this is the place to perform.

The Community Jam Coordinator starts things off with a song or two while would-be performers get the chance to add their names to the sign-up sheet.

By turn each performer or group is called up to the stage. There are usually several stage musicians available to provide accompaniment, both instrumental or vocal. Performers can request to be accompamied by the stage musicians or perform alone.

Things keep moving along at a lively pace. Each performer is limited to 2 songs to ensure everyone gets their time in the spotlight. There’s a break around 8 o’clock for potluck snacks and often a door prize drawing. Then it’s back for the Jam until things wind up around 10pm.

Crowds are averaging 50-60 in number, with a recent high of 68. Audience members and performers are encouraged to make a donation if they can. All donations go directly to the Center to help pay for operating costs, utilities etc.

None of the fun would be possible without the help of the many volunteers, the musicians and the folks behind the scenes who set up the chairs, get the kitchen ready and help clean up. Supplies for the potluck and door prize are donated.
